The Work and the Why

For more than 15 years, I have been drawn to work that brings people together and turns ideas into something real. Much of my career has unfolded in roles where programs did not yet exist and someone needed to build them from the ground up.

I also spent much of that time sitting on boards myself, often stepping into those rooms without fully understanding what was required of me. I learned largely through trial and error, and came to recognize a gap that has shaped my work since. Young professionals are frequently encouraged to join boards, but they are rarely equipped to feel confident, find the right opportunity, and contribute once they are in the room.

Those experiences shaped how I work today. I thrive where clarity, structure, and people centered design matter most, and where leaders need a steady partner who can move an idea from concept to execution in a way that can be sustained.

How I Partner with Organizations

I partner with colleges, employers, and mission driven organizations preparing students and emerging leaders for board service, and with organizations building the governance structures that support long term leadership.

Board readiness is not built through information alone. It is strengthened through reflection, honest conversation, and practice. My facilitation creates space for participants to learn from one another, challenge assumptions, and leave with strategies they can use the first or next time they walk into a boardroom. When people understand the room they are walking into, they show up with clarity, confidence, and impact, and the organizations they serve gain members who contribute sooner and stay longer.

I also design leadership development experiences for students and young professionals stepping into greater responsibility, and partner with organizations building new programs or seeking structure in complex work. Often the challenge is not a lack of effort or vision. It is a need for stronger internal capacity, clearer decision making, and structures that hold up over time.

I bring calm, clarity, and care to complex work, anchored in the belief that people come first, that structure should serve the mission rather than burden it, and that lasting impact is built with communities, not just for them.
